According to the new energy subsidy policy in 2019, the subsidy rate has decreased significantly as expected. Compared with the plan in 2018, the subsidy rate for pure electric passenger cars in 2019 is reduced by 47% -60%, and the subsidy rate for new energy passenger cars is reduced by 50%- 55%, the subsidy for new energy special vehicles decreased by 46% -59%. The next three to four years will be the most difficult period for upstream and downstream enterprises in power batteries and industrial chains. Especially in terms of cost reduction pressure, upstream and downstream enterprises will face unprecedented challenges. This requires the cooperation of the entire industry chain to cope with difficulties. If we can rapidly expand the scale during this period and occupy the market share through the comprehensive advantages of product cost performance, we will usher in a huge dividend in the future in the process of full electrification.

Some analysts pointed out that in fact, the requirements for reducing the cost of power batteries, the national level has already formulated relevant guidelines as early as 2017. According to the "Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicle Technology Roadmap" plan, by 2020, the cost of power battery cells will be 0.6 yuan / Wh, and the system cost will be 1 yuan / Wh; by 2025, the cost of cells will be 0.5 yuan / Wh. Affected by the decline in subsidies for new energy vehicles, auto companies may choose to replace the current battery materials to reduce the production cost of automobiles. These may all affect the development of the current lithium battery industry.
